Airfreight of a large service trolley from China in a short period

The goal is to deliver the cargo from China in a short time and transfer it to the consignee in Russia before the new year.

The cargo is a gas technology service trolley, dimensions 2350 mm X 1400 mm X 2150 mm, weight 1720 kg.

Transportation method - air freight to Sheremetyevo Airport (Moscow, Russia) from Tianjin Airport (China), where the cargo must be delivered by the consignee. Next, road transportation to the city of Novovoronezh, Voronezh region.

STELS A company, acting as the transport division of HARDFOR group of companies, was tasked with delivering a gas technology service cart from a factory in China to Novovoronezh (Voronezh region, Russia). The task was set in late November, and the cargo had to be delivered before the new year in order to minimize the customer’s costs.

The removal was also complicated by the fact that the city in which the shipper’s factory and warehouse were located was at that moment in quarantine due to the coronavirus. Multimodal delivery using rail transport, and especially sea freight, were not suitable, since it would be impossible to deliver the cargo before the end of the year if this type of transportation was chosen.

Regular aviation service was also not suitable, because the dimensions of the cargo did not fit into the cargo compartment of the aircraft. It was decided to deliver the cargo on a cargo plane, which would greatly increase the cost of transportation itself. However, delivering the cart before the end of the year would provide significantly more substantive savings.

The cargo was sent from Tianjin airport literally at the last moment, since at first it was not delivered via China on time by the shipper, and then the removal was hampered by the heavy workload of the airline. However, the problem was solved, and the cargo was sent literally 5 days before the new year. Upon arrival at Sheremetyevo airport, a declaration for the goods was submitted to customs with subsequent release within a few hours. Another day later, the cargo was safely delivered to the consignee.
