SHIPINFO company has digitized the movements of vessels transporting food as part of a grain deal from three ports of Ukraine: Odessa, Chornomorsk and Yuzhny.

The map is constantly updated with new data and up-to-date information as new vessels appear on the list of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

The general progress of cargo transportation by the relevant vessels can be seen in this video

At the moment, this is one of the largest and most ambitious maps created by the SHIPINFO team.

The Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict, which began in February 2022, greatly aggravated the food crisis in the world, since, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Ukraine is one of the world's leading grain exporters, supplying about 45 million tons of grain to the market in year.

The parties to the conflict, through the mediation of Turkey and UN representatives, have been discussing for a long time the possibility of safe export of grain from Ukrainian ports. As a result, on July 22, a corresponding agreement was signed in Istanbul, and on July 27, the Joint Coordination Center of the Black Sea Grain Initiative was established under the auspices of the UN.

On August 1st, the first ship called Razoni left the port of Odessa. The map was created on October 18, 2022, and at the time of its creation, 350 shipments were made from the above-mentioned Ukrainian ports.
