The goal was to transport equipment from the port of Taicang (China) to the city of Derbent (Republic of Dagestan, Russia).
Cargo – components for a wine and cognac factory in containers. The total number of containers was 6, of which five were 40HC containers and one was 20DC.
Transportation method: sea freight to the port of Vladivostok, then railroad transportation to Selyatino/Elektrougli stations in the Moscow region, after which the containers were delivered by trucks to their destination.
The main priority in the implementation of this project was delivery in a short time, especially for individual parts of equipment, for example, a rubbing machine and its parts, equipment for processing grapes, parts of a machine for separating seeds from grapes. The above cargoes had to be delivered in the first half of August by the time of harvest, despite the fact that the start of transportation was scheduled for July 11th.
A ship was chartered, which delivered the containers to the port of Vladivostok without relative delays, but at the port, during customs clearance, part of the cargo was subject to various procedures, such as customs inspection and the mobile inspection complex. These circumstances created additional delays in delivery.
As customs declarations were issued, when the cargo was at the port, our company employees decided to send it in parts, with priority given to containers with the equipment that needed to be delivered by the time of harvest.
As a result, the equipment that needed to be delivered urgently reached its destination in just over a month, the project was successfully implemented, the task was completed.
